Domain names, popularly known as websites addresses, are alphanumeric ways to represent numeric-only Internet Protocol (IP) addresses on the internet. When a computer tries to access a website, a request to find the website alphanumeric address and match it to the IP address is resolved, the website is then located and its content, hosted anywhere in the network, can be received at the computer.
